Job summary

Ox Paper Tube Core in South Carolina is seeking a 1st Shift Winder Operator to join our growing team. You will operate spiral winding lines, ensuring tight tolerances and smooth production flow.

Responsibilities include setting up mandrels, adjusting belts, loading master rolls, measuring with calipers, and maintaining safety standards on the shop floor. The role offers a stable schedule and competitive hourly pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• Two+ years operating spiral winders, slitter-rewinders, or similar web-handling/laminating machinery.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.

Responsibilities

• Set Up & Adjust: Change mandrels, align winding belts, and set up target saws for client runs.
• Keep Things Moving: Load master paperboard rolls and manage multi-ply tension and glue assemblies.
• Measure for Quality: Use calipers and micrometers to ensure tubes/cores meet specs.
• Stay Safe: Follow standard safety protocols and keep the workspace clean.
