Job summary

The Toro Company is urgently hiring MIG welders for a clean, fast-paced production environment in Orrville, OH. Start pay is $23.50–$28.50/hr with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, 1st shift 6:30am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday.

The role involves setting up, operating and tending hand-welding machines with attention to detail and teamwork to meet production goals. Qualified applicants will have high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years welding experience, ability to lift 40 lbs, pass a welding test and uphold safety

$2,000 sign-on bonus for all new production hires

Hours: 1st Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday

Pay: $23.50-28.50/hr to start based on skillset

The hand welder will require a person to set up, operate, and/or tend hand-welding machines to produce weldments. This person must pay high attention to detail and work under limited supervision. They must efficiently perform hand welding. This job involves collaborating with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives.

• Set up jobs by selecting appropriate fixtures, weld patterns, components, programs, tooling, etc.
• Operate welding equipment and tune to optimize the welding process for quality and efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent school with relevant work experience
• Minimum 1-3 years of welding training/experience
• Maintain high safety standards and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. regularly and bend, squat, walk or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to pass a welding test

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of welding experience
