SWD Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Packer (Pack/Unpack) for a full-time role on the 1st shift (7am-3pm), Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends.

The starting pay is $18.00/hour, and duties include packing, unpacking, and operating packaging equipment in a fast-paced facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to company policies (QS-9000 and ISO-14001).

Qualifications

• Entry level position.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.
• Handle heavy equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Physical stamina and strength.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Pack customer jobs at the pack 3 and pack 4 machines.
• Hand pack when needed.
• Unpack jobs for all departments.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Operate the wrap machine.
• Operate the roll sorter.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Practice safe work habits, following outlined policies and procedure.
• Operate a forklift.
• Review Shop Orders.
• Be aware of SWD Inc. policies and procedures, including QS-9000 and ISO-14001.
