Job summary

Apex International is seeking a Warehouse Operator for 1st shift in Shakopee, MN to safely receive, move, store, pick, and ship materials while supporting inventory accuracy. The role works onsite Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, with a starting pay rate of $20–$23 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, processing inventory transactions, and maintaining organized inventories.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience.
• Forklift certification required; ability to maintain certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory auditing preferred.
• Basic understanding of receiving, shipping, storage, inventory, and distribution processes.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read, write, and follow specifications and work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Receive, move, store, pick, and distribute materials in an organized and accurate manner.
• Process inventory transactions and material movements accurately within company systems.
• Prepare and ship materials according to customer and production requirements.
• Maintain organized inventory locations and warehouse storage practices.
• Support efficient product flow to meet operational and customer demands.
• Perform inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Apply Lean tools and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and reinforce 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Follow established processes and identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Operate forklifts and other motorized/non-motorized material handling equipment safely.
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
• Adapt to changing priorities and production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
