Senior Aerospace SSP in Burbank, California is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to undertake various machining operations and tool fabrications. The ideal candidate will interpret complex blueprints, work from verbal instructions, and ensure high levels of precision and quality in their work.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of related experience and/or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, lays out, and assembles all types and sizes of tools and dies.
• Interprets complicated blueprints and assists in planning operations.
• Sets up and uses all tool room tools and machine shop equipment.
• Makes special tools and dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Suggests design revisions or material substitutions.
• Performs rework, repair and other associated operations.

Education

High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 5 years of related experience and/or training
