Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift Team Leader for the Walker, MI plant. The role leads the press production team to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets, guiding problem solving and maintaining morale.

Expect to sign off on labels, ensure checks per quality procedures, and support production with coverage as needed. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and a hands-on approach to daily operations on a 6 AM–2 PM schedule, Monday–Friday, with potential

The team leaders helps to lead and coach the production team in obtainment of daily standard work requirements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Morale. The team leader assists with root cause/ problem solving for quality and delivery issues. **What You'll Do:** * Ensure that safety rules are followed and report any abnormal conditions to group leaders or department management immediately.* Verify product being produced in the assigned work zone conforms to customer requirements.* Verify that team members are performing checks according to the quality checklist.* Conduct periodic gage and visual checks of parts being produced in work zone.* Ensure that production schedule and JRFP are being followed* Verify label information and pack-out quantities are correct.
