The Domestics Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Domestics Department to ensure customer orders are processed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position provides hands‑on leadership to associates, coordinates daily workload and staffing, monitors productivity and quality, and ensures department expectations are consistently achieved.

The Supervisor is expected to be visible on the warehouse floor, actively coach employees, identify operational issues, and maintain accountability while creating a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan daily staffing and workload based on order volume, priorities, customer requirements, request dates, cancel dates, and available capacity.
  • Monitor department productivity throughout the shift and take action when production is falling behind plan.
  • Drive performance toward the department productivity standard for KPI’s, while maintaining safety, quality, and accuracy.
  • Assign employees to work areas based on workload, skill level, and operational priorities.
  • Conduct daily start‑of‑shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety expectations, priorities, and operational concerns.

  • Ensure orders are properly scanned, processed, labeled, staged, and routed according to established procedures.
  • Verify employees are following standard operating procedures and established work methods.
  • Monitor quality and accuracy to reduce mis‑picks, incorrect labeling, damages, shortages, rework, and shipping errors.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and adjust staffing or workflow to maintain continuous product flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure associates follow all company safety policies and immediately address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Coach employees on productivity, quality, safety, attendance, teamwork, and job performance.
  • Document performance concerns and administer corrective action in accordance with company policies and Human Resources guidelines.
  • Monitor employee attendance, tardiness, breaks, and adherence to assigned schedules.
  • Train new employees and ensure associates are properly trained before independently performing assigned tasks.
