Job summary

Trinidad Benham in LaGrange, GA seeks a Full-Time Packaging Operator to set up and run the line to meet quality specifications and uphold GMP standards. You will load the hopper, perform hourly quality checks, and ensure the line is clean and orderly.

Responsibilities include monitoring the process, addressing jams, and assisting with basic maintenance while supporting a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate the line to produce product meeting quality specifications.
• Perform quality checks at least hourly; monitor for deviations.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts (10–12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Check order sheets and run specifications for each order.
• Load core hopper with cores and complete initial thread up.
• Perform quality checks hourly and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Maintain line cleanliness per GMP standards; remove trash and dust.
• Assist maintenance with more complex problems as needed.

Set up and operate the line in order to produce product that meets quality specifications, maintain the machine systems, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot common machine/quality problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Check the order sheet to determine order to run and specifications for that order. (Ensure that the right material is being used)
• Load the core hopper with cores.
• Set up and complete initial thread up of machine.
• Perform Quality Check at least once each hour.
• Monitor process, correct jams and other problems that occur.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of line to GMP standards by removing cartons and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc.
• Troubleshoot minor quality and machine problems; communicate more complex problems to maintenance.
• Roll Prep
• Able to remove and replace mandrels.
• Any other duties as requested or required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Fully Qualified:
• Level IV
• Operates assigned Spooler line at 90 % minimum average level of efficiency.
• Able to change core knives correctly.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand ten hours (twelve during busy season) and walk up and down steps.
