Position Details

Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate

Reports To: Shipping & Receiving Manager

Department: Shipping & Receiving

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping and receiving documents and contracts.
• Communicate delivery and shipment details to customers.
• Maintain dock schedules and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Operate forklifts and handle materials safely.
• Manage documentation, data entry, and record keeping.
• Coordinate with planners and use customer databases like SAP and Digital Supplier.
• Handle small package shipments via UPS and FedEx.
• Participate in hazardous materials training annually.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong math skills

• At least 3 years warehouse experience
• 1+ year forklift operation
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to work under pressure

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, shipping software (UPS, FedEx)

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 55 lbs regularly
• Stand/walk for entire shift, occasional bending/crouching
• Ability to hear and understand in noisy environments
• Good distance judgment and visual acuity
