Job summary

Somic America Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator to ensure materials and finished products move safely, accurately, and on time. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, preparing shipments, and verifying accuracy before departure.

Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, can work independently or in a team, and are comfortable using AIM, Excel, and Word. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read shipping documents.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Prepare customer shipments, including staging, wrapping, strapping, and labeling.
• Verify shipments for accuracy before they leave the facility.
• Receive raw materials and maintain inventory records using AIM.
• Transport materials and finished goods throughout the plant.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain FIFO inventory practices.
• Process shipping paperwork, including FedEx, UPS, export, and service part shipments.
• Inspect and sort returnable packaging.
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe Shipping & Receiving area.
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.

What You'll Do
