Job summary

Ultipro in Minden, Nebraska is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to ensure accurate packaging and on-time shipments per contract specs. You will read and understand contracts, prepare shipments, inspect paperwork, and coordinate with scheduling to meet delivery timelines.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems are required; forklift certification is a plus. No formal education is required.

Responsibilities

• Package parts according to contract, carrier, and customer specs.
• Read and understand contracts and specifications.
• Ship items via customer portals per contract and customer requirements.
• Inspect and verify paperwork for accuracy before shipping.
• Ensure packing specifications are met for containers/materials.
• Determine shipping methods using routes and rates.
• Coordinate with scheduling for on-time shipment.
• Coordinate with packagers and maintain customer relations.
• Package materials per customer specifications.
• Verify outgoing shipments by comparing contents with invoices.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and build positive customer relationships.
• Take initiative to handle additional duties when tasks are completed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure proper packaging of the parts according to contract, carrier and customer specifications.
• Able to read and understand contracts and specifications.
• Work in customer portals to ship items as required by contract and customer requirements
• Inspect and check all paperwork for accuracy prior to shipping any parts.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Work with various departments, especially scheduling, to communicate schedule requirements for on-time shipment.
• Coordinate with packagers.
• Maintain customer relations.
• Package materials as required by customer specifications.
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
• Strong communications skills.
• Able to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Takes initiative to find other duties when assigned tasks are completed.
