Job summary

Security Engineers, Inc. in Greensburg, IN, is seeking a Security Receptionist Officer for the 1st shift (9am-5pm).

This safety-sensitive role screens visitors, manages access badges, monitors security systems, and directs calls from the front desk. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid security license or ability to obtain one, and experience in customer service or front-desk operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Security Officer/Guard License or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years of verifiable experience in security reception, front-desk operations, customer service, administration, military service, or law enforcement.
• Availability for assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, rotating schedules, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk as needed throughout the shift.
• Strong observation, situational awareness, attention to detail, and ability to recognize and report unusual activity.
• Proficiency with computers, email, telephone systems, visitor-management software, and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Screen visitors, manage access and badges, monitor security systems.
• Direct calls and maintain records; report concerns or emergencies.
• Greet employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors; verify credentials and authorization.
• Manage visitor sign-in, badge issuance and return, and access-control procedures.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents; notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain visitor logs, badge records, incident reports, and front-desk documentation.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems from the reception desk.
• Receive and route deliveries and service providers.
