Job summary

Compact Industries, Inc. is seeking a 1st shift Sanitation Technician in St. Charles, IL to maintain a clean, sanitary warehouse environment. You will follow established procedures, perform routine cleaning tasks, and assist with washing blenders as needed.

The role supports multiple departments, ensures readiness for audits, and requires basic HACCP/GMP knowledge, strong organization, and teamwork. Benefits and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation experience, preferably in food industry.
• Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety and GMP principles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Cooperate and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning procedures to maintain a neat and sanitary environment.
• Clean interior and exterior warehouse areas per Master Sanitation Schedule and safety guidelines.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, painting and organizing.
• Assist in washing blender assembly/disassembly as directed by Sanitation Technician II.
• Support other departments with sanitation needs, inventory sanitation supplies, and report shortages.
• Conduct deep cleaning of machine rooms, blending areas, warehouse, and production floor.
• Use chemicals to clean parts and surfaces and prepare for audits and customer visits.
• Assist with off-site sanitation tasks when required.
