Position Overview

The Distribution Lead coordinates activities of teammates engaged in unloading trucks, receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, sortation, and loading trucks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all functions of a Distribution Teammate, including equipment operation and/or specialist roles
• Willingness to expand responsibilities and maintain solid attendance
• Flexibility to work hours based on DC needs
• Knowledgeable in all areas they will lead

Tools & Equipment

• Proficient with RF/Voice/Visual Pick technology
• Proficient with manual and motorized Material Handling Equipment (e.g., cherry picker, reach truck, forklift, pallet jack)

Leadership Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee job functions based on schedules and demands
• Ensure accuracy of shipping/receiving documentation
• Train and coach teammates
• Study production schedules and estimate resource requirements
• Interpret specifications and assign duties
• Adjust work procedures to meet schedules

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of shipping materials
• Provide performance feedback and coaching
• Manage expedited product requests
• Collaborate with leadership to improve metrics and financial performance
• Achieve KPIs for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Turnover
• Resolve service quality and delivery issues
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and WI's
• Communicate with management on personnel and operational issues
• Conduct team meetings and provide performance feedback
