Job summary

Owens Corning in North Platte, NE is hiring a Raw Material Handler for the 1st Shift. You will load rails, stage and cut rails, perform pre-operational inspections, and help keep the site clean and safe on a 6:00am-4:30pm schedule.

Ideal candidates read and write English, can use a tape measure, and work well in a team. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. The role is on site with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of rail types and sizes and understand production schedules.
• Must be able to operate a radial arm saw.
• Must read and write English and use a tape measure.
• Must have good attendance and safety records.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load rails and paper core on carts for layup.
• Stage rails in a safe and accessible manner per production schedule.
• Cut rails to proper size as needed.
• Conduct pre-operational inspection.
• Clean and maintain the area and forklift.
