Position Details:

  • 4-day, 10-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday, 5:30 am – 4:15 pm

What You Will Do:

  • Perform “First Piece” inspection throughout assigned Product Group Line / Value Stream
  • Perform “Final” inspection throughout assigned Product Group Line / Value Stream
  • Assist Product Group Line / Value Stream in quality problem resolution
  • Perform in-process audits throughout Product Group Line / Value Stream
  • Document all inspection and testing results
  • Maintain all document files and test records accurately
  • Initiate non-conformance reports and assist in corrective/preventive action report determination
  • Perform 100% inspection/sorting as required
  • Material Handler - Ability to operate a forklift
  • Assist with writing and updating inspection procedures and checklists
  • Support all H-F Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Verify calibration of all inspection standards/gages
  • Observe plant safety rules and report unsafe conditions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge of blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to use and read calipers, micrometers, rulers, and gages
  • Understanding of fractions/decimals
  • Ability to operate a forklift; sideloader knowledge is a plus
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Maintain appropriate attendance, initiative, and productivity levels

Physical Demands:

  • Standing for full shifts
  • Lifting/moving up to 20 lbs repeatedly
  • Close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Color vision testing may be required
  • Talking, hearing, and manual dexterity
  • Role is safety-sensitive and may be drug tested
