Job summary

OPC Arbre Farms is seeking a Quality Control Technician to monitor and document product quality and production processes in our Michigan facilities. You will ensure compliance with company and customer specifications and support continuous improvement across the plant.

The role requires adherence to HACCP and GMP practices, accurate data entry, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. This on-site position includes health benefits after enrollment and daily responsibilities as described.

  • Collect customer retention samples.
  • Interpret specifications.
  • Maintain organized and clean work area.
  • Other duties assigned by QC Supervisor or Management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Quality Control Technician


Position Reports To: Quality Control Supervisor


FLSA Status: Hourly



  • This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days

  • January – April / Monday - Friday with Saturdays possible

  • May – December / 6 days a week

Position Purpose Summary:

This position regularly monitors and documents product quality as well as production processes ensuring that all food products are in compliance with company and customer specifications.

Education and Experience:


  • High School/GED Equivalent, preferred

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred


Physical Demands of the Position:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.


Work Environment:

While performing duties of this position, the employee will beexposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; variable temperatures of both heat and cold.
