Quality Assurance & Food Safety - Live Oak, Florida

We have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure social distancing within our facility. These measures include installing physical barriers such as plexiglass or plastic barriers between workstations, performing daily temperature screenings for employees and visitors, providing and requiring face coverings, and conducting enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor product quality and procedures to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government specifications, and take corrective actions when necessary.
2. Monitor compliance with HACCP programs.
3. Communicate with customers, management, and sales regarding quality issues to ensure the plant meets customer and company specifications.
4. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with production supervision and USDA personnel.
5. Train and supervise QA Technicians during their respective shifts.
6. Ensure safety and motivate all team members.

Education:

• High School diploma or GED; Two or Four Year College Degree preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years experience in a poultry processing environment.
• Experience in QA, HACCP, and Food Safety preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good follow-up and employee relations skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
