Quality Assurance & Food Safety - Live Oak, Florida

At Pilgrim’s, safety is a condition that comes first — always. We have implemented comprehensive safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including social distancing, physical barriers, temperature screenings, face coverings, and enhanced sanitation protocols.

The role involves:

  1. Monitoring product and procedures to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government specifications, and making corrective actions as needed.
  2. Monitoring compliance with HACCP programs.
  3. Communicating with customers, management, and sales regarding quality issues to ensure the plant meets all specifications.
  4. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with production supervision and USDA personnel.
  5. Training and supervising QA Technicians on their respective shifts.
  6. Ensuring safety and motivation of all team members.

**Education:**

  • High School diploma or GED; Two or Four Year College Degree preferred.

**Basic Qualifications:**

  • At least two years of experience in a poultry processing environment.
  • Experience with QA, HACCP, and Food Safety preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good follow-up and employee relations skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
