Job summary

Smalley is seeking a full-time 1st shift operator in Lake Zurich, IL. The role involves operating the index cut machine, airshear, scale, deburring wheel, belt sander, and punch press, plus heat sampling and inspection of retaining rings and wave springs per drawings.

You will collaborate with punch press setup and other departments to meet production needs. Requirements include legal work authorization in the US, clear communication, and passing basic math and English exams.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
• Strong reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Good math and English skills to pass required exams.

Responsibilities

• Operates the automatic index cut machine, airshear, Epic III Scale, deburring wheel, belt sander and punch press.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform heat sampling.
• Inspects retaining rings and wave springs according to specifications using measuring tools.
• Works with Punch Press Set Up Operators to address machine issues and supports cross-department production.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $18.00 - $20.0 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
