Sunrise Retirement in Sioux City, IA is seeking a part-time 1st shift Charge Nurse (RN or LPN). This role includes direct resident care, supervision of nursing staff, and ensuring quality care with a positive attitude. A $1500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include assessing residents, coordinating care, and responding to emergencies. Must hold a current nursing license and be eligible to practice in the state. Requires weekend rotation and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have a current nursing license and be able to practice nursing in a qualifying state.
• Able to supervise nursing assistants and have some supervisor experience.
• Able to attend all mandatory trainings and keep current on all certifications (CPR, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)
• Able to problem solve situations and come up with interventions and solutions.

Job Details:

Job Location: Legal Address - Sioux City, IA 51106, Job Shift: Day, Sunrise Retirement is seeking PT 1st Shift Charge Nurses (RN or LPN) with a $1500 sign on bonus!

Duties Include:

• 1) Provide direct assessment and care to the residents of this facility.
• 2) Provide supervision of nursing department employees and evaluation staffing patterns to ensure quality care to all residents.
• 3) Provide emergency services to the residents of independent living community
• 4) Provide quality care with a positive attitude and great customer service.

This position will require working every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications:

• 1) Must have a current nursing license and allowed to practice nursing in a qualifying state
• 2) Able to do all nursing duties following long term care regulations and procedure relevant to the charge nurse scope of practice.
• 3) Able to problem solve situations and come up with interventions and solutions
• 4) Able to supervise nursing assistants and have some supervisor experience
• 5) Able to attend all mandatory trainings and keep current on all certifications (CPR, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

• 1) Frequently lifts in excess of 35 pounds in performance of daily duties.
• 2) Frequently required to push/pull wheelchairs, carts, and other equipment in the performance of daily duties.
• 3) Frequently required to climb, balance, crouch, kneel and stoop in the performance of daily duties.
• 4) Frequently required to use finger dexterity and grasping in the performance of daily duties.
• 5) Frequently required to use reaching and repetitive movements in the performance of daily duties.
• 6) Able to work with bloodborne pathogens, chemical hazards and respiratory hazards.
