Job summary

Allegion Hollow Metal in Fontana, CA is seeking a results-driven Production Team Leader to oversee daily production of hollow metal doors and frames, ensure on-time output, enforce safety procedures, and support lean initiatives.

The role requires supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing, knowledge of lean tools, strong communication and training skills, and a willingness to lead continuous improvement while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, build-to-order manufacturing environment.
• Practical exposure to Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong communication, coaching, and training skills; ability to present information to groups.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet production targets.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and OSHA/Cal-OSHA and quality systems is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule workdays, shifts, and departments to optimize production flow and customer satisfaction.
• Enforce standard work and SOPs; drive quality and process adherence.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives; apply lean tools to eliminate waste.
• Apply root-cause problem solving to corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver training to develop staff capabilities and respond to questions.
• Ensure all operations comply with EHS procedures and participate in safety and quality meetings.
