Job summary

Autokiniton is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume stamping operation. The role reports to the Operations Manager at the Bluffton, Ohio plant and requires strong leadership, safety, quality, and productivity focus.

You will guide hourly associates, set priorities, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate across Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, Materials, and HR to ensure smooth production and development of staff.

Qualifications

• At least five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive stamping, metal forming, press operations, or similar high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving production environment.
• Experience managing safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance.
• Continuous-improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support hourly production associates in a high-volume stamping operation.
• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and performance.
• Coordinate daily production priorities, manpower, press assignments, and workflow.
• Monitor production performance and respond quickly to downtime, quality concerns, and other operational issues.
• Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, Materials, Safety, and HR.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals and priorities.
• Coach, train, and develop associates while recognizing strong performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall performance.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Build a positive, accountable work environment where employees understand how their work contributes to the success of the plant.

This full-time role is a part of our Bluffton Ohio Production team and reports to the Operations Manager.
