Job summary

Solid Power is seeking a 1st Shift Production Operator to join our team in Colorado, contributing to the development of next-generation solid-state rechargeable batteries. You will operate automated and semi-automated machinery, follow SOPs, and maintain equipment and documentation on the production floor.

The role requires 3+ years in lab/manufacturing, ability to lift 50 lbs, and shift hours 5:30 am–4:00 pm Tue–Fri. We offer comprehensive benefits and a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years' experience in a lab or manufacturing environment (Dry-room/_clean-room experience a plus).
• Hands-on experience with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and slurry/solvent-based operations.
• Rapid learner with attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Preference for experience operating and maintaining semi-automated machinery.
• Experience with PLC controlled robotics is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook.
• Availability to work 1st shift 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday - Friday.
• Ability to lift 50lbs daily.
• PPE required including safety shoes, eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.
• Hourly Range: $24.00-$30.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and semi-automated machinery.
• Follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment including calenders, stamping dies, ultrasonic welders, and other equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and handle hazardous materials; maintain 5S standards.
• Use a methodical approach to problem solving during production runs and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure product quality specifications are evaluated and maintained.
• Complete and verify production documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow 5S standards.
• Participate in 5S activities, audits, and continuous improvement.
