Job summary

Hamilton-Ryker in Lexington, KY is seeking a Production/Mold Technician to operate on a polyurethane mold production line and support mold setup, material handling, and quality control. You will mark, pour, and inspect screens, ensure proper labeling and traceability, and help maintain cleanliness and safety on the production floor.

The role requires attentiveness to process instructions, adherence to safety procedures, and a willingness to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Comply with clients substance abuse & background policy.
• Must have previous stable work history.
• Must have previous manufacturing and/or construction experience.
• Must be able to work in hot environment.
• Must be able to read tape measure proficiently.
• Must wear steel toe shoes/boots.

Responsibilities

• Operate on the production line with open-cast polyurethane molds.
• Assist in setting up molds, materials, and equipment for production.
• Arrange orders on tables according to drawings or supervisor instructions.
• Mark job orders with quantity before pouring for accurate tracking.
• Pour screens with specified materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Mark screens with aperture, job order number, and employee initials for identification and traceability.
• Begin cleanup and complete production reports 10 minutes before shift end.
• Monitor product quality, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
• Perform visual inspections of molds and finished products to identify defects.
• Demold screens promptly and place them in the oven within 30 minutes, especially on Fridays.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area for safety and efficiency.
• Operate machinery and equipment according to safety protocols and standard procedures.
• Continuously produce screens throughout the shift and report all screens produced daily.
• Seek clarification from supervisors if unsure about setup or materials.
• Follow all company policies regarding attendance, punctuality, and conduct.
• Perform additional tasks to support warehouse operations.

What you will do

• Company makes open-cast urethane screens for the aggregate, mining and construction industries.
• Screensare made to order by size and dimensions for each client.
• The primary responsibility of this role is to work on our production line with open-cast polyurethane molds.
