Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a hands-on 1st Shift Production Supervisor for the Soil department to lead daily operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and develop a high-performing team for our healthcare linen manufacturing processes.

You will oversee production associates, manage staffing and training, and collaborate with Maintenance and Quality to meet schedules and cost goals while upholding OSHA standards and NOVO requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production supervision or industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily 1st shift production operations within the Soil department to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Ensure production schedules are met while optimizing labor utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership to address operational issues and improve performance.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production associates to promote engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff.
• Staffing, scheduling, and coverage planning as needed.
• Enforce OSHA and NOVO safety policies and procedures and maintain a safety-first culture.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure adherence to customer requirements.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
• Track and communicate key production and safety metrics.
