Our Production Department in Madison, Wisconsin, is currently hiring.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will convert raw materials by printing, coating, or laminating at or above quality standards, using materials such as paper, Tyvek, or films based on customer specifications. The Press Operator will adhere to plant OHSE and Quality Systems to maintain safety and product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality during production runs
• Optimize raw material use to reduce waste
• Set up machines, change inks, coatings, configurations, decks, paper, and methods as required
• Inspect ongoing work for print, coating, and lamination quality, making adjustments as needed
• Inspect raw materials for proper coating weights, seal strengths, and porosity
• Adjust and maintain machinery, including cleaning and changing parts
• Perform daily maintenance tasks
• Mount pre-press plates
• Use measuring tools like tape measures or rulers proficiently
• Supervise the activities of the Press Assistant
• Assist with clean-up and prepress activities
• Maintain production documentation and reports
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Assist maintenance staff as needed
• Keep work area clean and organized

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience operating Flexographic presses
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to interpret safety and operational documents
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication and math skills
• Attention to detail and quality
• Proficiency with computers
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Additional Skills

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and procedures. Effective communication in group settings. Basic math and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to perform job duties and work in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
