Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is hiring at our Byesville, OH site for an assembly role focused on small components used in heavy-duty trucks. You will read work instructions, identify parts by numbers, and operate hoists and gauges to assemble components such as EGR valves and fuel pumps.

The position requires physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing through shifts, and cross-training on multiple jobs.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation and use of power & hand tools.
• Stand on concrete for an entire shift with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
• Cross training on other jobs and participate in safety/quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small components including valves, pumps, gears and brackets.
• Operate hoists, gauges, air tools and related equipment as required.
• Identify components by numbers and follow work instructions and BOMs.
• Follow rotation plans and complete training matrices for rotations.
• Contribute to safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping improvements.
• Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks and access drawings.
