Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 1st Shift Picker / Packer in Elkhart, IN to accurately pick items from inventory lists, pack them securely, and palletize for shipment on a fast-paced production floor. The role requires forklift certification and the ability to lift 40–50 pounds, with training provided as needed.

You will use pallet jacks and basic computer systems to document inventory and shipping, work Monday–Friday 8:55 a.m.–5:25 p.m., and participate in overtime when required; medical and retirement

Qualifications

• Industrial pick/packing experience in a production/warehouse setting.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and shipping records.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification; all team members are certified.
• Experience using pallet jacks for material handling.
• Reliable 1st shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:55 a.m.–5:25 p.m.
• Attention to detail following inventory lists and packaging instructions.
• Comfort working in oily/dirty environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow inventory lists and work orders to pick products.
• Pack products into boxes according to specifications.
• Palletize packed boxes, including stacking, wrapping, staging pallets.
• Use pallet jacks to move materials and pallets.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification and operate forklifts.
• Lift and carry materials weighing 40-50 pounds frequently.
• Maintain accurate documentation for inventory tracking and shipping.
• Follow production, packaging, shipping procedures to meet standards.
• Work with team to meet daily goals.
• Adhere to safety guidelines in oily/dirty environment.
• Support overtime and extended shifts as needed.
