Job summary

Trinidad Benham in LaGrange, GA seeks a dedicated packaging operator to safely pick up finished goods and palletize them correctly. You will ensure packaging integrity and perform accurate transfer tickets and production reports.

The role requires standing for long hours, lifting up to 35 lbs, and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with responsibilities spanning quality checks, jam clearing, and maintaining GMP-compliant conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs during shifts.
• Ability to stand for ten hours, up to twelve during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Keep finished goods packed and stacked to avoid production stoppages.
• Check finished goods for quality and report defects.
• Perform brand and size changes efficiently.
• Inspect finished goods for quality and compliance.
• Clear jams from shrink wrapper and thread as needed.
• Maintain line cleanliness and GMP standards by removing waste.
• Complete transfer tickets and production reports.
• Identify substandard product or raw materials.
• Perform other duties as required.

This position will be responsible for safely picking up finished goods and packing them safely and correctly onto a pallet.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep finished goods packed and stacked to avoid stopping off production.


• Check for bad finished goods and inform maintenance and/or quality technician if more than a few.


• Perform brand and size changes in an efficient manner.


• Inspect finished goods for quality product.


• Clean any jams out of shrink wrapper.


• Ability to thread shrink wrapper in an efficient manner.


• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of line to GMP standards by removing cartons and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc.


• Complete transfer tickets and production report.


• Identify substandard product or raw materials.


• Any other duties as requested or required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Ability to lift 35 lbs


• Ability to stand ten hours (twelve during busy season)


• 3-5 years manufacturing experience
