Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Wyoming, MI is hiring for 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler. Starting pay is $20.13 per hour with two pay raises in your first year.

You’ll work Sunday to Thursday with weekends off, be on your feet, lift up to 100 pounds, and receive on-the-job training. No prior warehouse experience is required, but reliability and stamina are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• No prior warehouse experience required; training provided.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform order picking and packing in a 1st shift warehouse environment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Participate in training provided by the company to learn processes and safety rules.

Pay:

Starting at $20.13/hour

• Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year

Work Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off
• 1st Shift - Sun 6:20 start, Mon 6:50 start, Tues 8:20 start, Wed 6:50 start ,Thurs 6:50 start (end time may vary based on work volume)

You’ll be on your feet for the duration of your shift and you’ll be lifting up to 100 pounds, but there’s no experience required - we train you how to get the job done with our dedicated training team. It’s hard work, so we’ll pay you a starting wage that scales with production and efficiency- the better you perform, the more you earn.

• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
