Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Package Handler for our Shipping Team in Brighton, MI. You will be on your feet, lifting up to 100 pounds, with thorough training provided even if you have no prior warehouse experience.

Starting pay is $20.13 per hour plus a $1.00 shift incentive, with two pay raises in your first year based on performance. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 6:50 PM start, with Friday/Saturday off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Willing to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varying temperatures (cold/hot).
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and prepare shipments in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and stage items for shipping and delivery.
• Maintain safety, accuracy, and productivity to meet daily targets.

Starting at $20.13 +$1.00 Shift Incentive. Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year.

Work Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off
• 2nd Shift - 6:50PM start time until finish (based on work volume)

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
