Job summary

Gordon Food Service Kenosha Distribution Center is seeking a Warehouse Freight Handler for 1st shift. You will help move pallets, break down shipments and prepare items for palletization, supporting a fast-paced warehouse operation.

Starting pay is $19.52 per hour with weekly pay, strong benefits from day one, and a culture that promotes from within. This role requires reliability, ability to work in cold or hot conditions, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F).
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets from trailers and break down product for correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is not received into inventory for sale.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets.
• Work in extreme cold or hot conditions as required.

Warehouse Freight Handler 1st shift

Distribution Center Address: 10901 38th St., Kenosha

Pay: Starting at $19.52 /hour

Plus, any performance incentives, bonuses, etc.

Work Schedule

• Sunday 5:00 AM start
• Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM Start
• Work until the work is completed (shifts vary based on work volume)

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you'll support our team by safely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration. You will also separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and account for the structural integrity of pallets. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you're here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
