Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler - Shipping in the Brighton, MI area. Starting pay is $20.13 per hour, with raises in the first year. Work a Sunday-Thursday week with weekends off, starting at 6:50 AM (shifts may vary).

Training is provided; you’ll be on your feet and may lift up to 100 pounds. Benefits include day-one medical plans, weekly pay, wellness reimbursement, profit sharing and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pack and ship orders in the distribution center.
• Lift up to 100 pounds and be on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Learn processes with dedicated training team.
• Assist in packing trailers on the shipping team.

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. You’ll be on your feet for the duration of your shift and you’ll be lifting up to 100 pounds, but there’s no experience required - we train you how to get the job done with our dedicated training team. • We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
