Description

Under the regular supervision of the shift supervisor, you will attend to injection molding machines or assembly workstations for the repetitive production of a variety of plastic parts and components.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follow company-wide safety policies and procedures.
2. Receive assignments from the shift supervisor and accomplish tasks according to documented procedures and instructions.
3. Ensure quality through regular inspection of production before packaging, using gauges, fixtures, and measuring tools to verify dimensions. Notify the quality inspector of suspect products.
4. Maximize work cell uptime and production output, attending to automatic machines, operator-attended machines, or assembly stations.
5. Periodically evaluate machine performance and condition, reporting any unusual or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
6. Verify that counting scales are accurate during shifts and report issues to QC Inspector or Supervisor.
7. Sort, count, pack, and perform secondary operations as required, including trimming and assembling components.
8. Submit all production reports to the shift supervisor or designee, accounting for all good production and scrap.
9. Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
10. Collect last shot when work order/job is completed, when directed.
11. Continuously improve skills and participate in group problem-solving and improvement activities.
12. Provide training to other personnel on procedures or job requirements, as needed.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education:

Language Skills:

Follow detailed instructions and handle problems with concrete variables.

Other Skills and Abilities

Physical Demands

Regularly stand, handle objects, reach, sit, talk, hear, walk, climb, and lift up to 55 lbs., with accommodations as needed. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work involves moving mechanical parts, exposure to hot and humid conditions, loud noise levels, and the use of safety devices.

Salary

$19.00 per hour
