Job summary

Drug Plastics & Glass Company Inc. in Boyertown is seeking a 1st Shift Molding Supervisor to lead the Process Mechanic functions, achieve production goals, and minimize waste.

This is a Monday–Friday salaried role reporting to the Plant Manager, with a focus on safety, quality and employee engagement. You will supervise shift mechanics, review hours, manage production reporting, and ensure compliance with MSDS and safety standards while maintaining high morale.

Qualifications

• College degree in a field related to mechanics is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Experience in supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend all shift change meetings on time.
• Review and approve hours worked by Process and Setup Mechanics daily.
• Complete required production reports.
• Understand and be able to effectively use Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Supervise Process and Setup Mechanic employees to maintain quality and production standards.
• Promote positive employee relations through training, evaluation and communication.
• Ensure production areas are free from hazards and employees work safely.
• Attend priority meetings before/after shift changes to discuss changes, down equipment, quality issues.
• Communicate with employees regarding assignments, issues and general business events.
• Meet with Material Handlers when Supervisor is unavailable to review material and mix rations.
