Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is hiring for a shipping operations role. The candidate will join a team to inspect parts for defects, perform simple repairs, and prepare items for shipment. You will handle transactions, scanning, packing, and palletizing while using pallet jacks and forklifts.

The role requires good math, ability to read a tape measure or caliper, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

  • One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Two to three years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Part of a team responsible for shipping operations.
  • Inspect parts for defects (size, color, wood, scrap) and make simple repairs as needed.
  • Process transactions and slot items in cart for shipment.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
  • Operate stretch wrapper and load trucks to protect products during transit.
  • Locate, scan, obtain and pack, bundle or palletize components with care.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and meet production goals.
  • Perform other duties as required for department success.
