Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Joliet, Illinois, is seeking a Welder for 1st shift. You will read blueprints, plan layouts, and weld components using GMAW MIG to secure assemblies, while preparing parts and equipment for welding.

Minimum requirements include a welding certificate and 3+ years in a production welding role, plus the ability to lift 50 lbs and follow detailed blueprints. Excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year certificate in welding/fabrication is preferred.
• 3+ years' experience welding in a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Reads and comprehends blueprints.
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding from blueprints.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using GMAW MIG.
• Fabricates and designs non-engineered parts.
