Job summary

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on, is seeking a MIG welder to manufacture automotive lifts and lift components. Starting pay is $20.19/hr with an attendance incentive. Shifts run 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday, emphasizing safety and quality.

The role involves welding components, placing parts on the paint line, and operating a forklift as needed, along with supporting 6S initiatives and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• MIG welding certification in the horizontal position.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent communication across all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem solving and process understanding.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld components for automotive lifts.
• Place components on paint line.
• Drive forklift when needed.
• Support 6S initiatives with safety focus.
• Contribute to process improvements for safety and efficiency.
• Assist in assembly and fabrication as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
