Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical & Light Assembly Engineering Technician to support a manufacturing and engineering team in Rochester, NY. This role involves building, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical products and prototype assemblies with close collaboration with engineers and production staff.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading engineering drawings, and hands-on experience with precision assemblies in manufacturing or engineering

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years in mechanical assembly or related technical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Experience with precision mechanical assemblies and tight tolerances.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting engineering development or prototype builds.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, optics, automotive, medical device, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Experience performing product testing and validation.
