Job summary

Generant is seeking a Material Handler in Butler, NJ for the 1st Shift (07:00am - 03:30pm). The primary duties include unloading bar stock with an overhead crane and preparing receiving paperwork, followed by labeling, tagging, and stocking stock on racks.

Responsibilities also include cycle counting, forklift movement of bar stock, and potential QC inspection of incoming material. Strong English communication and basic math are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be computer literate.
• Basic Math skills including measuring with tape and/or caliper, use of calculator.
• Must be able to communicate in English; follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Unload bar stock from delivery trucks using the overhead crane.
• Receive bar stock following the Bar Stock Receiving Procedure.
• Chamfer bars; print and apply Material Tags.
• Label all bar stock with Material Tags and color-code ends.
• Move bar stock onto racks using the forklift and maintain counts via cycle counting.
• May perform QC inspection of incoming bar stock and maintain a clean environment.
