Job summary

The Restaurant Store is seeking an Outbound Material Handler to ensure orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped promptly with accuracy. This role requires operating handheld scanners, ERP and warehouse equipment, including forklifts, to support efficient outbound operations.

You will work with teammates to meet daily goals, follow safety guidelines, and adapt to occasional cross-department duties, while maintaining orderly, hazard-free work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a distribution or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely.
• Comfort with handheld scanning devices and ERP systems.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately using handheld scanners and ERP.
• Sort and consolidate picked items, preparing orders for shipment.
• Pack products securely using the SPS system and maintain order accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers following safety protocols.
• Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy and quality.

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth outbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

• 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
