Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for 1st shift in Horsham, PA. You will assemble and integrate semiconductor tools, interpret intricate drawings, and lead subassemblies while coordinating schedules and ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade education strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience building or assembling electro-mechanical systems, preferably in capital equipment or semiconductor environments.
• Availability to work 1st shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) with overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate complete semiconductor process tools including frames, precision mechanical systems, wiring harnesses, and fluid delivery lines per engineering requirements.
• Interpret and execute from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and fluid system diagrams to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Troubleshoot complex assembly issues in real time, collaborating with engineering to resolve problems quickly.
• Lead subassembly efforts or coordinate entire tool builds as required; assign tasks, maintain build schedules, and resolve material or documentation bottlenecks.
• Support and occasionally lead the tool power-up process to ensure full operational readiness prior to handoff.
• Document builds thoroughly for traceability, ensuring adherence to Veeco quality standards.
• Model and enforce safety compliance, including lockout/tagout and all plant protocols.
