Job summary

Greif, a global packaging leader, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 1st shift in Oshkosh. You will perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and systems, following established procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of relevant experience. You will work 7am-3pm, Monday through Friday, and participate in plant safety and Lean initiatives to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3-5 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to operate machines, hand-tools, and plant equipment.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisor and/or senior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance and repairs to manufacturing equipment and systems, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical machines and systems.
• Adheres to all plant safety policies.
• Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
• Assists with installation of new equipment.
• Inspects and assesses equipment functionality.
• Assists in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
• Conducts routine maintenance and safety checks; may be required to submit maintenance reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
