Job summary

Columbus Industries, part of Filtration Group, is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Tech to sustain plant production equipment and perform preventive maintenance per schedules. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, interpret drawings, and support maintenance staff across the site.

The role requires 3+ years in maintenance, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with measurement tools. Strong safety practices and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance or similar role
• Read and interpret Blueprints/diagrams
• Read tape measures, micrometers, and Vernier calipers
• English language proficiency required
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Participate in preventive maintenance for plant equipment, machines and facilities
• Perform mechanical, electrical, welding tasks; lubricate and replace parts
• Maintain and update preventative maintenance records and equipment history
• Conduct performance tests using tachometers, gauges, meters and meters
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment including pumps, motors and valves
• Respond to service calls with appropriate tools and support other maintenance staff
