Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee plant maintenance activities on the 1st shift in the United States. The role directs a team of 15 technicians, manages preventive maintenance, and aims to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and compliance with SQF and GMP policies.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or 5+ years of related experience in a food manufacturing environment, and strong PLC, SAP, and MS Office skills. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or college program certificate; or 5+ years related experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor with direct reports.
• Ability to lead, direct, evaluate and train a staff of 15 maintenance technicians.
• Knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and GMP practices.
• Strong troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, evaluate and train a staff of 15 maintenance technicians.
• Manage preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment; minimize downtime.
• Maintain a safe, clean production environment and enforce safety culture.
• Assist Maintenance Manager to direct policies and procedures for maintenance.
