Scope of Position:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance crews responsible for installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment across the plant, utilities, and powerhouse. The role aims to minimize mechanical downtime and maximize production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and evaluate maintenance personnel, ensuring operations follow company policies and sound principles.
• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics & Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plan and assign work, and manage employee performance and discipline.
• Develop and oversee maintenance systems, processes, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Production to schedule and perform repairs timely.
• Maintain KPIs to monitor maintenance performance.
• Provide support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
• Train employees on work methods and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Oversee building and ground maintenance.
• Work alongside maintenance staff.
• Report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of maintenance or supervisory experience.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, or electrical systems (e.g., PLCs, instrumentation) preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, TPM, and inventory management is a plus.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good planning and prioritization skills.
• Safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to work long hours and weekends if necessary.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and communication.
• Work environment includes wet/humid conditions, cold, and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
• Noise levels are usually moderate but can be loud in production areas.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
