Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to prevent equipment failures.
  • Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Repair or replace defective mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gears, pumps, and motors.
  • Ensure machines operate safely and efficiently to support production.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals for repairs and installations.
  • Assemble, align, and calibrate new machinery or systems.
  • Inspect equipment and work areas for safety compliance.
  • Track parts usage and request replacements; keep tools in good condition.
  • Record repairs, parts used, downtime, and maintenance history in logs/CMMS.
  • Coordinate repairs and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Site Overview

Our High Point, North Carolina facility is a non union manufacturing plant with approximately 55 employees. The site specializes in producing polyurethane foam and other foam products. As a key location within FXI's manufacturing network, the High Point plant is known for its strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence. Job Overview

Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a facility's equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure. This role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and responding to repair requests to minimize downtime. Maintenance Technicians work closely with operations teams to support production goals, maintain compliance with safety standards, and keep equipment in optimal working condition. Strong problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
