Worldwide Foam in LaPorte, IN is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our production team. You will safely operate and oversee equipment, configure machinery, load materials, monitor performance, and ensure quality while following safety protocols.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and reliable communication to meet daily production targets and maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years prior machine operating experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (email, OS).
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to perform arithmetic involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

As our 1st Shift Machine Operator, you will safely operate and oversee production equipment while ensuring products meet quality expectations. You will configure and run machinery, load materials, monitor performance, inspect finished products, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently. You will troubleshoot issues when they arise, communicate with supervisors and teammates to keep production on track, document concerns as needed, and help ensure deadlines are consistently met through your attention to detail and commitment to safety.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

We're looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years prior machine operating experience
• Basic computer skills (operating system, email, etc.)
• Strong teamwork abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Logical troubleshooting abilities
• A self-motivated work ethic
• Ability to work inside or outside year-round
• Ability to work in a position where you will be exposed to dirt, dust, rain, noise, equipment, and vibrations
• Ability to use provided PPE
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis, and team lift above 30 lbs.
• Ability to stay on feel for up to 8 hours daily
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
• 3+ years of prior experience in a production setting is preferred
