Woodlandsmed in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a dependable Material Handler / Forklift Operator to move, stage, load, and unload materials within a manufacturing environment. This role supports production and shipping/receiving by ensuring materials are delivered to the right place at the right time while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, safe work area.

The position requires forklift experience or training and the ability to read shipping documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience required (or ability to be trained).
• Ability to read work instructions, labels, and shipping documents.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and/or powered industrial equipment (sit-down) safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments; verify counts and inspect for visible damage.
• Move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to designated staging/production/shipping locations.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders; prepare materials for shipment.
• Perform basic housekeeping (5S) to keep aisles, docks, and work areas clean and hazard-free.
• Follow all safety policies regarding PPE, traffic patterns, safe stacking, and dock safety.
• Assist with cycle counts and general inventory tasks as needed.
• Report equipment issues, product damage, or safety concerns to supervision promptly.

Compensation and Benefits

• 1st Shift: 6am-2pm ($17.50) Mon -Friday with occasional overtime
